Churcher's College embraces home learning

Churcher's College Junior School pupils have been adapting brilliantly to once again learning from home. They have been taking part in daily live lessons with their classmates as well as enjoying regular subject-specific lessons too.

For example, Year 4 have been drawing their trainers as part of live art lessons; Mr Forbes has been teaching the new skill of kick boxing with some Japanese language skills as a bonus; all the classes have taken part in live music concerts with the opportunity to showcase their talents from home to their peers; and daily live fitness sessions are on offer to top and tail the day.

Fridays are often a highlight which regularly feature special themes including Black History Day and Chinese New Year. These days are a special chance for the whole school to get involved in special activities and collaborative projects as well as workshops led by external providers.

In school we have over 40 key worker pupils and they are also taking part in the home learning activities in their small bubbles.

Despite being apart, with some children in school and others at home, we continue to work hard to stay as connected as possible and the children have embraced this with open arms!
