Churcher’s College Junior School carol service

This was a truly wonderful evening for the children parents and teachers of Churcher’s College Junior School. The carol service was held in the glorious candle lit St Peters Church in Petersfield.

The evening was intimate, magical and poignant as the school celebrated Christmas together. As the congregation entered, the beautiful sounds of the flute playing ‘Away in a Manger’ could be heard in the church. The service opened with a procession of children as the congregation followed a soloist singing ‘Once in Royal David’s City’.

Our Year 6 children led the service with readings which were read with poise and clarity as the congregation listened. The choirs sang with clear beautiful voices as they filled the church and brought a tear to many. As always the children of Churcher’s College Junior School displayed such maturity and vision as they brought sparkle and shine to us all.

When Reverend William gave his final blessing we all felt Christmas had begun and were so proud to have been part of such a special occasion.
