On Monday 1 March 2021, Churcher’s College looks forward to welcoming the Chief Economist at Panmure Gordon, Simon French, who will share his thoughts on the outlook for the UK economy in 2021. This virtual talk is part of the Churcher’s College Academic Lecture Series (CCALS) and all senior school pupils and their parents are invited to join the live session.

“My thanks to Simon French for joining us,” said Martin Hill, Head of Economics at Churcher’s College. “For Economics students this is a brilliant opportunity to hear from a highly regarded professional with a proven track record, to ask questions and find out more about this fascinating subject. For those considering taking Economics at A Level, this will provide a real insight into why it is such an excellent choice which can have enormous impact. As this is a subject that affects us all, I imagine many students who don’t do Economics will also want to attend.”

Prior to joining Panmure Gordon, Simon previously worked for the UK Government in various roles, latterly at the Cabinet Office as Chief of Staff to the UK Government COO.
