Gardener Schools Group hosts annual Shakespeare Festival

Maida Vale School and Kew House School came together to host their second annual Shakespeare Festival last week to parents, peers and teachers.

Set at Maida Vale School, the evening saw pupils from both schools present their unique interpretations of Shakespeare’s most iconic scenes across 13 plays to enrapture, intrigue and enchant the audience through tales of love, tragedy and magic.

After weeks of practicing and honing their lines, they performed an “in the round” style production. Afterwards, Gardener Schools Group founder Maria Gardener led a round of applause and gave a rousing speech to the pupils.

It was fantastic to see pupils from both schools collaborate to put on an entertaining evening. Well done to everyone involved – we are already looking forward to next year’s festival!
