On Saturday, the Avon County Cross Country Championships came to the Upper, where, in glorious sunshine, a large number of Kingswood runners took part against some of the best runners in the county.

Many of Kingswood’s runners put in brilliant performances, standing them in excellent stead for national qualification.

Lizzie and Charlie both came 5th in their races, with Bridie finishing 8th.

Tobina and Freddie both ran into the top 15 in their races to be in contention for selection for the Nationals.

From the Senior Boys’ runners, Noah ran excellently against a high class field, as did Oliver and Jamie; whilst in the Inter Girls’ race, Georgia and Emily also ran strongly.

The Cross Country team heads to Bryanston this Thursday to take part in one of the largest schools meets in the country – good luck to everyone taking part in the event.
