Lockers Park School welcoming visitors for personal tours

Lockers Park School in Boxmoor, Hemel Hempstead is opening its doors to give visitors a flavour of life at the highly-regarded Hertfordshire preparatory school by offering a series of COVID-safe, one-on-one tours, given by the Headmaster.

Prospective parents are being invited to book hour-long sessions within individual family groups and will be shown around by the Headmaster, Mr Christopher Wilson, in lieu of the school’s traditional Open Morning. In light of the current climate, the school believes this revised format protects both the school community and visitors against the potential risks of COVID-19.

Tours will include both the main Prep School, which prepares boys for the country’s leading senior schools and the Pre-Prep, which supports boys and girls from four years as they embark on their educational journey. Visitors will be able to observe lessons and explore the indoor and outdoor learning environments. The school has also introduced a number of additional safety measures to ensure the tours are as safe as possible with visitors asked to wear masks and observe a two-metre distance.

Headmaster Christopher Wilson says: “As a smaller school, we are able to offer COVID-safe, personal tours to prospective parents: we know nothing beats being able to physically come and look around a school to decide whether it is the best option for your child/children. Lockers Park excels in delivering highly individualised learning in a smaller school setting where academic success is celebrated alongside the sporting, musical and other co-curricular achievements of pupils. There is also a popular free wraparound care programme for busy parents. I warmly invite prospective parents, pupils and siblings to come along and find out more.”
