St Columba’s College announces changes to the admissions process

St Columba’s College in St Albans has recently announced changes to the admissions process for 11+ and 13+ entry due to the pandemic. The deadline for 11+ and 13+ applications is now a week earlier, on Friday 27 November 2020.

11+ applicants will only sit the Reasoning test, on Saturday 5 December 2020 in small groups, at 9am, 11am, 1pm or 3pm. Interviews will be held on Wednesday 13 January, and candidates will be sent one or two maths tasks and a short English passage to read beforehand.

13+ assessments and interviews will now take place on Saturday 9 January 2021, instead of on a weekday to prevent contact between current students and applicants.

The application deadline for the Sixth Form is Monday 14 December 2020.

In light of the current climate, these changes protect both the school community and visitors against the potential risks of COVID-19.
