St Columba’s College Prep School collects Harvest Appeal donations

Pupils in the Prep School at St Columba's College have been collecting and donating an incredible amount of food this half term for their Harvest Appeal.

Each year, as part of the school's Harvest Appeal, the SCC community unites to support those who are in need. This year, there is an increased need for supplies as more people rely on their local foodbank for help. The items donated included biscuits, snack bars, cereal bars and toiletries.

The donations will be given to the St Albans and District Foodbank and the local homelessness charity, Open Door. Since 1993 Open Door, with the help of the St Albans’ community, has supported over 7,000 people who have experienced homelessness and been at risk of sleeping rough. The St Albans and District Foodbank supports people across the local area, and the donations will be particularly needed during the half term break.

A huge thank you to the pupils and their families for supporting this important appeal.
