Maple Walk School and Faraday School have shared the latest project of their highly successful animation club, a fantastical story inspired by Sir David Attenborough.

Members of the after-school club, run by Dora Martinkova, work on a story each term to produce a short film.

The pupils, aged 8 to 11, are involved in the script, making props, scratch graphics and in drawing characters and the set. Pupils also record the voice overs in a professional recording studio.

The finished films are shown to an exclusive audience at the local independent cinema, The Lexi.

Their latest creation was produced after a discussion about how plastic pollution was hurting marine life, as highlighted in Sir David's Blue Planet series.
