Churcher's College student Matilda Shapland making a name for herself on the stage

Churcher's College Third Year student Matilda Shapland is currently enthralling audiences, portraying the role of Jenny Caroline “Qui Qui” Marx in the production of Young Marx at the Bridge Theatre in London.

She has always loved performing, demonstrating a natural gift with most things theatrical, acting, singing, music and dance. Now well into her term performing with the production, Matilda is very much enjoying the experience.

This is not her first outing on stage and screen however. Her first role was Little Cosette in Les Miserables in 2012/2013, and following this she played her own namesake as the main character Matilda in the West End show in 2015.

In addition, she also performed alongside Joan Collins in the movie The Time of Their Lives.
