Llandovery College is today celebrating GCSE success with results demonstrating a marked year on year improvement.

Once again our pupils have overcome the challenges of tougher examination specifications with a strong performance at the top grades.

Attainment of 23% at level 9-7 (equivalent to A* to A) and 77% at level 9-4 (equivalent to A* to C) ensures that Llandovery College’s results remain significantly higher than the Welsh national average.

Congratulations to all our pupils and well done to highest achieving pupils Katie Fear and Ella Smith who between them gained 14 A* and 6 A grades.

Interim Warden Anna Sandford said: “I am incredibly proud of all our individual success stories and our results are testament to the hard work, dedication and talent of pupils and staff.”

Incoming Warden Dominic Findlay who takes up his post in September, said: “I am looking forward to working with all these incredible pupils as they enter Sixth Form.”
