Llandovery College pupils are celebrating another year of excellent A Level results.

Pupils maintained strong performances in the much coveted A*- A grades with an impressive 12% securing an A* and 33% achieving A*- A.

The College has bucked the UK trend which has seen the proportion of pupils achieving the top grades at A Level fall to its lowest level for over a decade.

Staff and pupils celebrated as the percentage of pupils securing A*- B and A*- C grades increased significantly. Many College leavers now move on to their chosen universities including Russell Group institutions.

Llandovery College Interim Warden, Anna Sandford, said: “I am incredibly proud of our pupils’ A Level and BTEC results. We have recorded our highest level of A*- B grades since 2013 at a time when top grades have dipped across the UK. This success is due to our unique approach which provides a bespoke education catering for the needs of every individual child. Many congratulations to all our pupils and staff.”
