Alex Andrews, aged 18, has just successfully received an offer to study his dream subject at his first choice university; Archaeological Science at the University of York. This offer is the result of not only his school work but also years of passionate participation in digs all over the UK and a real commitment to the subject.
The phrase ‘quite exceptional’ hardly seems to do justice to what has been a record-breaking year for Churcher’s College but it seems to work well for a group of quietly capable and delightfully charming young men and women who have achieved so much over their time here.
The Upper School swimming gala did not disappoint – every pupil produced excellent performances, achieving many personal bests.
The annual Churcher’s College ‘Infant Concert’ is a highlight for the school’s younger pupils in Class 1 and 2, who eagerly await their chance to perform solo, ensemble and whole-class items to a friendly and supportive audience.
Churcher’s College 5th Year (Year 11) pupil Sam Redfern has been awarded one of only 32 RAF Flying Scholarships available annually for CCF Cadets nationwide.
Churcher’s College is proud to have had three pupils involved in The Hampshire County Youth Orchestra performance at the Royal Albert Hall on 23rd April.
