Pupils and staff from ​Dauntsey’s had a taste of the future of travel recently when inventor Richard Browning visited the School to demonstrate the world's first jet-engine human suit named ‘Daedalus'.

Dauntsey’s celebrates art department with new exhibition

This month, Dauntsey’s hosts an exhibition of classic cars, vehicle designs from the Royal College of Art, sculpture by Angela Palmer, photography by Iain Kemp and student work from the Art Car competition. The display, entitled ‘Art in Motion: the Car, Knowledge and Design’, is being held in collaboration with Messums Gallery and Classic Car Safe.

Dauntsey’s pupils complete Transatlantic Tall Ships voyage

Eight Sixth Form pupils from Dauntsey’s have spent 30 days at sea for a challenging North Atlantic race sailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia to the Eddystone Lighthouse off Plymouth. Sailing the School’s Tall Ship, Jolie Brise, the pupils were taking part in the final stage of the International Rendez-vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta – a 10,000 nautical mile transatlantic race visiting Portugal, Bermuda, America, Canada and France.

Dauntsey’s School announces 2017/18 line-up for Mercers’ Lecture Series

Dauntsey’s has announced another impressive line-up of speakers for the 2017/18 programme of its renowned Mercers’ Lecture series. The Mercers’ Lectures are named in recognition of the links between Dauntsey’s and the Mercers’ Company, which go back to Mercer founder Alderman William Dauntsey, Master of the Worshipful Company of Mercers, who founded the School in West Lavington in 1542.
