Eleven-year-old Izzy Williams took on the adults at this year’s Horse of the Year Show in Birmingham and incredibly came within one mark of the winner in the Working Hunter Pony competition.

Year 11 girls at St Swithun’s, Winchester are celebrating excellent GCSE exam results with a clutch of top grades across a broad and demanding curriculum.

After an unprecedented two years of uncertainty and challenging conditions for learning, this year’s U6 students from St Swithun's are now heading for university, having achieved excellent A Level results with 75% achieving A*/A grades.

St Swithun’s School in Winchester recently hosted a day of Olympic sports for pupils from local primary schools. The initiative was part of both the St Swithun’s partnership programme and its Path-to-Paris 2024 scheme to give young people the opportunity to experience all of the sports which feature in the Olympics before the 2024 Paris games.

Two athletes from St Swithun’s School, Winchester, have qualified to represent Hampshire at the forthcoming English Schools Track and Field Championships. 16-year-old Isabelle Law and 13-year-old Abi McBriar will compete in the javelin and discus respectively.

St Swithun’s, Winchester, has been shortlisted for the TES Pupil Mental Health Initiative of the Year award 2022. The school has developed and implemented an outstanding bespoke wellbeing curriculum called Positive Education based on the principle of positive psychology.
