The Governors of King Edward VI School Southampton are delighted to announce that Rebecca Lyons-Smith has been appointed as the new Head of Stroud School, Romsey, commencing in September 2020.
On Thursday 7 November, Stroud School held its Language and Culture Day. Held every two years, the aim of this day is to promote language, culture and civilisations. The focus of the day was on French, Spanish, German and Japanese languages, however, the school also ran some fantastic activities that touched on other cultures, such as Portuguese, Afrikaan, Turkish, Danish, Punjabi and Chinese /Mandarin.
Despite the wind and rain, Stroud School pupils enjoyed a day of outdoor learning for Outside the Classroom Day part of a global initiative to celebrate and inspire outdoor learning. In 2018, over 350 million children worldwide took part, more than 550,000 were in the UK and Ireland.
Stroud School in Romsey hosted a Digital Leaders’ Conference this week for more than 100 primary school children from across Hampshire and Wiltshire.
