​2020 has been a year like no other. But even against the backdrop of the Covid-19 crisis and cancelled examinations, King’s Rochester pupils are celebrating another year of outstanding GCSE results.

​Ballard School, an independent school based in New Milton, are enjoying another successful year of GCSE results, with 100% of pupils achieving at least five GCSE passes graded 9-4 (including Maths and English), and 75% of pupils securing at least 9 GCSE passes in total.

AS GCSE pupils received their grades today after a dramatic week of government U-turns, Burgess Hill Girls Head Liz Laybourn paid tribute to their mental resilience during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Millfield has launched a new GCSE Dance programme beginning in September 2020. The GCSE programme, which is open to students in Year 10 and Year 11, follows three strands of learning; performance, choreography and dance appreciation. It aims to develop knowledge, understanding and practical experience of the wide range of dance choreographed and performed today and is suitable for students with an interest in dance performance and choreography.

Mock exam season has arrived and the results of these are more important than ever before. Not only are mock results relied on by some universities to offer places, but they give the students, their parents and teachers a clear indication of whether your child is looks likely to achieve their predicted grades. Mock exams are also excellent practise runs ahead of the upcoming exam period.

A student initiated GCSE Astronomy course begins at Burgess Hill Girls for pupils, parents and staff. The school will offer the course to the local community in 2020.
