Coffee and bacon butties went down a treat when children at Barrow Hills School joined in the national Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning campaign, which raises funds to provide support to those living with cancer.
Barrow Hills School threw open its doors to the public for guided tours of the historic building and grounds on Saturday 14th September, as the School participated (for the fifth consecutive year) in the national Heritage Open Days initiative, England’s biggest festival of history and culture. Celebrating 25 years, the Heritage Open Days are designed to enable members of the public access to sites of unique interest, bringing local history and heritage to life.
Year 8 children at Barrow Hills School continued their unbroken record of success with 100% pass rate in the Common Entrance (CE) exam. Children, parents and staff alike are delighted with the outstanding results.
Children at Barrow Hills School welcomed their grandparents back to the classroom this week, after the School hosted its inaugural Grandparents’ Day – an initiative dreamt up by the School Council (made up of elected representatives from Years 3 to 8).
