Hot on the heels of Barrow Hills’ Common Entrance exam success and 100% pass rate, children are celebrating once again after achieving scholarships to an impressive list of senior schools.
Maggie Alphonsi MBE, the face of international women’s rugby, who represented her country an impressive 74 times and helped England win a record breaking seven consecutive Six Nations crowns, was the guest speaker at Barrow Hills’ annual Prize Giving event on Friday 7th July.
Children at Barrow Hills School were delighted to meet Olympic champion hockey player Helen Richardson-Walsh MBE last week when she dropped into the school to talk about the opportunities for women in sport and her personal journey to Olympic success.
